	Bio: Nan Cao is a national 1000 young talent expert and a professor at TongJi University, China. He is the founder and the director of the Intelligent Big Data Visualization Lab. Before joining Tongji University, Nan Cao was a research staff member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. His research interests are information visualization and visual analysis.
	Abstract: Anomaly detection as an important problem in may application areas have been extensively studied during the past decades. Automated anomaly detection methods based on machine learning techniques have been developed. However, challenges remain due to the difficulty of obtaining proper ground truth for model training and evaluation. We review interactive visual analysis techniques that we developed during the past few years. These techniques leverage human judgment on the automated analysis results via intuitive visual representation and rich interactions to better adjust the performance of anomaly analysis process.
